On July 9th and 10th our group traveled to Hickory Corners, MI (Milwaukee) for an outstanding show (Mad Dogs & Englishmen´s British Auto Faire XXVI) at the Gilmore Car Museum. This show had been designated by the TVR Car Club North America as a second National Event for 2016 and TVR was recognized as the show’s Hidden Gem. I guess we weren’t so hidden after all as 21 TVR’s attended.
I’m sure Midwest Regional Organizer Chuck Linn will give a full rundown on the show but from our group’s perspective it was a great time with great friends. Chuck hosted a wonderful dinner Saturday night and the Sunday show was first class. The hospitality shown to the Chicago/ Milwaukee group was sincerely appreciated. TVR people are great.
Our MI members (Chicago/Milwaukee owners group) in attendance were: Mark Schaefer/ Vixen V8, Mike Budde/ 3000S V8, Jared Silver/ 280i, Marek Kiklas/ Taimar, Brad Stocks/ Taimar.
In addition Phil Nolte came to do more research for his Vixen and we met Charlie Stone who purchased a 2500M last fall.
